Seasonal magic illuminates the grounds of the Allerton Park & Retreat Center, where visitors can enjoy an enchanting mile-long walk glittering with festive lights and attractions. Originally designed in 1900 as a private estate for artist and philanthropist Robert Allerton, the 1,517-acre park and retreat center in Monticello, Ill., was donated to the University in 1946.
